Lanyon sunset

This particular chambered tomb is one of the most famous of Cornwall's ancient monuments. The importance of this Early Neolithic site to those megalith builders who constructed it some 5-6000 years ago, may be judged by the size of the capstone, which is the largest in the county. As many as a hundred people may have been required to move this stone and put it in place.
